Airlines will continue to check in luggage and attach one of their paper tags. They will rely on the TRACE ME when the paper tag has been removed, damaged, is un-readable or has expired.

Yes, you must register your Tag for it to be able to identify your Bag and you as its Owner.

For your TRACE ME Tag to be active we advise that you register it as soon as you receive your Tag and certainly within 60 days of receiving it.

All TRACE ME Tags have an automatic 12 month life from the point of Registration and if you choose to renew your Tag, another 12 months after the point of Renewal.

Locator is a service which helps you to find things. The average person spends about 10 minutes a day trying to find things – keys, wallets, bags – think what you could do with that extra time at the end of the week! A Bluetooth tag can be attached to virtually anything, which allows you to locate your possessions on a map, “call” them from your phone, or let you know if you’ve left home without them (or walked away from them in public). If you’ve lost your phone, you can use the tags to call it and help you find it too.

Absolutely anything. Just attach your Bluetooth tag to whatever you want to track, and connect it to Locator. You can connect up to 7 tags.

Simply select the tag you want, and hit the “Call” button. Your tag will make a beeping sound to help you locate it.

Locator is designed to help you if you leave things behind – such as keys or wallets. If it sends you an alert, it means that you may have left something important and you should go back to get it.

Your tag is powered by Bluetooth, which is a short-range communication signal. It is only possible track things which are in range. However, we can provide you with a last-known location for tags which do go out of range.

It depends on the device, but generally Locator can pick up devices between 4-6 metres. Please note that this can also be impacted if there is interference (for example, if you are in a busy place with lots of bluetooth enabled devices).

Unfortunately with airline regulations, phones have to be switched to “Flight Mode” which disables Bluetooth.

Emergency Numbers is a way of easily contacting local emergency services wherever you are in the world.

Simply log into the Emergency Numbers service, and tap on the service you want. Your phone will automatically recognise the country that you are in and dial the correct number for you.

If you want to search for a number for a country you are not in, there is also a search feature.

The numbers for all emergency services around the world are coded into the app, so you will always be able to find the number you need.

Most mobile networks around the world will let you make an emergency call even if you are not roaming on them or have no credit.

The buzzer on Wallet Locator alerts you immediately whenever your phone is separated from it. Vice versa, the PROTAG App will alert you when you leave your Duet (attached to a valuable) behind. This way, you can turn around to retrieve your items and stop losing your things again.

Whenever an item that is attached to a Wallet Locator gets separated from the phone it is paired with, the Wallet Locator app records the location in addition to the alerts. This way, you can retrace your steps to that location even if you missed the alert. At that location, turn on Radar to determine if your item is within 30m (100 feet) from you, subjected to your surroundings.

No, though you will still be alerted if someone takes away your phone or valuables. It’s designed for people who tend to lose their belongings.

Typically it takes 7-10 days for replacement cards to be delivered but the actual time depends on your bank.

It is important that when you receive the app that you enter your cards into the Cards and Documents store. You can do this by using your smartphones camera facility OR by entering the details manually.

Don’t forget to select your Bank as this will automatically provide to you your Bank’s lost and stolen support telephone number.

Travel Guardian can be relied upon when a user feels in a vulnerable situation and wants to record the events in ‘stealth mode’ with two discreet shakes of the phone. The record of this is then sent real time to the cloud and can be used as evidence if necessary at a later date.

Travel Guardian reacts intelligently to the shaking of your phone while in ‘stealth mode’.

Simply discreetly shake your phone twice in order to start a recording. Travel Guardian will continue to record all events until you tell it to stop.

It then automatically sends a copy of the recording to the cloud so you don’t need to worry about making sure it’s saved.

A link is sent to an elected “Guardian” via email. This link allows you to not only recover the recording itself, but also vital additional information which can help if you need to provide evidence to authorities, such as the time and location that you were when the recording was uploaded.

The last recording made is also saved locally to your phone in your videos folder. Each time you make a recording the previous video will be saved over.

“Guardians” can be anyone you trust, people who look out for you. If you need them to involved when you have made a recording, they will receive an email with the link to download the recording and can contact the relevant authorities. They can be added straight from your address book or entered manually with a name and an email address.

Travel Guardian also comes with some useful additional features, including a torch, a siren, and a fake call.

If you’re in an awkward situation and need a diversion, the fake call is activated by a big, easy to use button, and can help. Similarly, your torch and siren are useful tools if you need to create a distraction to get yourself out of a tricky situation.

The Cards & Documents store keeps all of your payment card and valuable document information in one place on your phone, so you have access to them when you need them.

We never store full card numbers, so they are completely safe.

You can also store the details of important documents such as your passport, driving licence or ID card so you have them to hand if you lose them.

If you are scanning an embossed card, hold the camera directly above the card and keep it still. The green lines should join up in a rectangle around the card.

Add photos of important documents. You can upload these from your existing photos or take a new photo using your phone’s camera.

Don’t forget to name the document so you can easily keep track of what you have saved.

Your activation link is a unique link that is associated with you and your services.

It is provided to you in your welcome email and/or SMS.

The activation link is part of the account activation set up process which allows you access to your services.

Your Valuable Docs Store is provided by Magpie Technologies Limited.

The information you store in there is kept on your phone and not shared with Magpie unless you are making a claim or cancelling your cards.

If you have locked your account by attempting to login with the incorrect password 5 times. You will need to reset your password. This can be done by clicking on Forgotten Password on the login page of the app.
